PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office announced that it is anticipating hiring three deputy sheriffs and several corrections deputies in the next six months.
To aid in that process, the National Testing Network will conduct tests for the entry-level positions Saturday, Aug. 26, in the Clallam County Courthouse basement, 223 E. Fourth St., Suite 070.
Testing will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for deputy sheriffs, and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for corrections deputies.
At noon, physical ability tests will be held at the Port Angeles High School track, 304 E. Park Ave.
Registration is required for the tests and can be completed by visiting www.nationaltestingnetwork.com or calling 866-563-3882.
Those interested must successfully complete the testing network’s process prior to receiving an application for a position.
The testing network directly contracts with Clallam County and public safety departments across the country to test candidates for public safety jobs, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
