Clallam County commissioners next month will consider changing the speed limits on parts of 12 rural roads.
From Evergreen View Parkway to Jesslyn Lane, reductions in speed limits are proposed for parts of nine county roads, said county Road Engineer Don McInnes.
Commissioners could also decide to increase maximum vehicle speeds on three other county roads — Lower Elwha Road, Sequim-Dungeness Way and North Brook Avenue.
“We try and do this once a year,” said McInnes, who added that commissioners did not make any speed limit modifications during 2001. “Ten of the 12 changes were requested by the public.”
Commissioners approved public hearing at 10 a.m. on April 16 to discuss the proposed changes.
