PORT ANGELES — During the annual Clallam Spring Clean Up on Sunday, April 13, the regional transfer station will charge $10 a load for household and yard waste.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fee for dumping at the transfer station at 3501 W. 18th St. will benefit the Port Angeles Food Bank.
Household garbage and large items will be accepted for disposal.
Yard waste, tires, large appliances and other metals will be recycled.
Loads are limited to one per household and can be no greater than a full-sized pickup truck or a 5-foot-by-8-foot trailer. No commercial loads or vehicles will be allowed.
Tires, metals, waste oil, antifreeze, auto batteries and yard waste must be separated for recycling. Each household is limited to four tires and four appliances.
No paint or hazardous waste will be accepted.
Only cash or checks will be accepted at the transfer station. No credit cards or food donations will be taken.
