PORT ANGELES — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 57-year old woman from the cruise ship Sea Princess approximately 20 miles southwest of Cape Flattery on Wednesday night.
Coast Guard Group/Air Station Port Angeles received a call at approximately 6:45 p.m. from the cruise ship requesting immediate medical evacuation of a woman suffering from severe abdominal pain.
A rescue helicopter crew hoisted the woman and transported her to Group/Air Station Port Angeles, where medical personnel took her to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles.
The Sea Princess was sailing from Victoria to San Francisco.
The woman’s medical condition was unknown.
