PORT TOWNSEND — The Coast Guard airlifted a 22-year-old sailor off the USS Ronald Reagan near Port Townsend on Tuesday.
An MH-65C Dolphin helicopter crew was launched from Air Station/Sector Field Office Port Angeles at 7:30 a.m., arriving at the Navy aircraft carrier at about 8:10 a.m.
The sailor, who was not identified, was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, arriving at 8:39 a.m.
The Coast Guard said the sailor was reported to be in stable condition.
The USS Ronald Reagan traveled from San Diego to Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton to undergo yearlong maintenance.
