The auditors in Clallam and Jefferson counties are seeking volunteers to serve on for and against committees for several ballot propositions that have been filed for the Feb. 11 special election.
The committees will write either the “for” or the “against” statements that will appear in county voters’ pamphlets next to the propositions.
The For and Against statements must be submitted by Friday.
Volunteers are sought in both counties for the following committees:
• Committee For Quillayute Valley School District No. 402’s Proposition No. 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operations Levy.
• Committee Against Quillayute Valley School District No. 402’s Proposition No. 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operations Levy.
• Committee Against Sequim School District No. 323’s Proposition No. 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operations Levy.
• Committee Against Sequim School District No. 323’s Proposition No. 2, Bonds to Replace and Upgrade Deteriorating Schools and Improve Safety.
In Jefferson County, volunteers also are being sought for the following committees:
• Committee Against Chimacum School District No. 49’s Proposition No. 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operations Levy.
• Committee Against Port Townsend School District No. 50’s Proposition No. 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operations Levy.
• Committee Against Port Townsend School District No. 50’s Proposition No. 2, Replacement Capital Levy for Safety, Technology and Facility Improvements.

Clallam County residents interested in joining a committee should email elections@ clallamcountywa.gov with the applicant’s name, voter registration address, telephone number and the measure for which they wish to write a statement.
