The three Jefferson County commissioners are expected to accept a $10,000 donation from the Peninsula Trails Coalition for construction of part of the Olympic Discovery Trail during the meeting that will begin at 9 a.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Peninsula Trails Coalition is donating the money for the building of Segment A of the South Discovery Bay project. The presentation will be at 10:15 a.m.
At 10 a.m., commissioners will conduct a hearing on proposed second quarter budget appropriations and extensions.
Items on the consent agenda include:
• Declaring a broken copier surplus and authorizing its disposal.
• A state community block grant of $100,601 for Olympic Community Action Programs.
• A change order increasing the contract with Lakeside Industries for the Teal Lake Road overlay amount by $6,479 from $163,322 to $169,801.
• Decision on bids for improvements to the Quilcene Solid Waste Drop Box site. Both bids came in over budget and staff recommends they be rejected and the project re-bid.
Port Townsend City Council
The Port Townsend City Council will consider a final design for the Water Street Overlay project when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
This year’s budget for the $2.8 million project is $460,000. Bids are expected to be requested in the fall with construction beginning in January.
The project will move power, cable, phone and fiber and lighting conduits under ground and replacing pavement on Water Street from Taylor Street to the ferry terminal. It will include replacing paving, an 80-year-old water main and sidewalks and adding ramps as well as other improvements.
The council will consider authorizing the city manager to sign a contract for $69,805 with Shold Excavating Inc., of Port Hadlock for replacement and installation of sewer mainlines and maintenance holes and to sign a professional services agreement for $60,000 with Valbridge Property Advisers and Integra Realty Resources to provide on-call appraisal and appraisal review services.
It will consider adopting the state ethics requirements and deferring fees for construction of house at 1049 Nora Porter Loop Road for Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County.

Port of Port Townsend
Port of Port Townsend commissioners will conduct an open house on the Boat Haven restroom and laundry building renovation project from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The open house will be at the port administration building at 2701 Jefferson St.
The public will hear updates and be encouraged to comments on the plans.
Jefferson PUD
Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will discuss fire-suppression planning and succession planning when they meet at 5 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be at 230 Chimacum Road, Port Hadlock.
Also on the agenda are approval of pre-qualified electrical contractors, the hiring of a communications specialist and an environmental site assessment proposal.
Jefferson Healthcare
Jefferson Healthcare commissioners will hear reports on finances and from the patient advocate and administrator when they meet at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Commissioners will meet in the Jefferson Healthcare Conference Room, Suite 302, on the third floor at 2500 W. Sims Way.
County Board of Health
Jefferson County Board of Health members will meet at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will be at Jefferson County Public Health, 615 Sheridan St., Port Townsend.

East Jefferson Fire-Rescue
East Jefferson Fire-Rescue commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at Station 1-5, 35 Critter Lane, Port Townsend.
The date was changed from Wednesday.
PDA executive committee
The Fort Worden Public Development Authority Executive Committee will meet from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at Commons A, Building 210 at Fort Worden.
The panel will consider new initiatives, hear reports on cash flow and staffing, discuss audio transcripts of board meetings, feasibility studies and a human resources contract.
