COYLE — A 32-year-old armed man was the subject of a dragnet by several law enforcement agencies at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday after escaping from a home in which he had allegedly barricaded himself earlier in the evening.
The man, according to reports by State Patrol dispatchers, is apparently being sought on kidnapping, assault and malicious mischief charges.
It wasn’t immediately known when the alleged crimes took place, and he wasn’t identified by authorities to reporters at the scene.
Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies entered a home on Cedar Street about 8 p.m. Tuesday after calling for equipment to protect themselves from bullets or other weapons.
At about 8:30 p.m., the deputies found the house to be empty and began searching for the man.
