JOYCE — A boil-water advisory for customers of the Crescent Water Association has ended.
Lab tests show the water meets safe drinking water standards, the state Department of Health said today.
The advisory was issued Thursday after water samples from the Crescent Water Association’s distribution system tested positive for E. coli bacteria.
The advisory affected about 900 homes and businesses in Joyce.
Water samples collected throughout the water system were analyzed and found to be free of bacteria, the state said.
The utility staff inspected the system and found no obvious source of contamination.
