PORT ANGELES — Installation of a stormwater drainage system at the state Department of Transportation’s graving yard resumed Monday.
Work stopped at the 22-acre site early last week when the project contractor, Kiewit-General Construction Co. of Poulsbo, transferred workers to the Hood Canal Bridge to help with construction work at the bridge.
“We are back to work at the site,” said Lloyd D. Brown, Transportation’s communication manager for the Olympic region on Monday.
Brown said workers will continue installing the drainage system today, but will not work Wednesday through Sunday to allow for workers to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with their families.
Work is scheduled to resume Dec. 1.
