Deceased male located on beach near Dungeness Lighthouse

SEQUIM — A deceased man was located on the beach about a quarter-mile from the Dungeness Lighthouse, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said.

The man, who has not been identified, was located about 10:48 a.m. Wednesday. Deputies responded and located him about 10 feet from the water line on shore as the tide was coming in, according to a press release.

The man was described as white between the ages of 20-30, about 200 pounds with short light brown hair, wearing a black sweatshirt and black swim shorts, the sheriff’s office said. He had U.S. coins in his pocket, but no other identification was located.

There were no visible injuries, scars, marks, tattoos or other identifying marks visible, the sheriff’s office said.

There are no recent reports of missing persons matching his description in Clallam County, the sheriff’s office said.

The Clallam County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
