PORT ANGELES — Nominations of Democratic candidates for the two state House of Representative seats in the 24th Legislative District will be conducted by the region’s Democrats at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 N. Peabody St., on Saturday, May 22.
The 2010 nominating convention will begin at 12:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
Authorized precinct committee officers will vote to nominate the candidates who will represent the Democratic Party in this year’s election.
Residents of the 24th Legislative District who want to run for the two House seats are invited to attend.
The seats are now held by Kevin Van De Wege, D-Sequim, who is seeking his third two-year term, and Lynn Kessler, D-Hoquiam, who is not running for re-election.
Clallam, Jefferson and parts of Grays Harbor County comprise the 24th Legislative District.
