DIAMOND POINT — The Clallam County Planning Commission has delayed consideration of the proposed rezoning of Diamond Point Airport.
Commissioners met this week to consider rezoning several residential parcels from general commercial to urban residential and possibly creating an airport district to replace the current general commercial zoning.
In February, county planning staff hosted a workshop at the Gardiner Community Center to introduce the proposal, submitted in October 1999 by the Diamond Point Airport Association and Sunshine Acres Property Owners Association.
The proposal calls for rezoning the Sunshine Acres Industrial Park Subdivision — including Diamond Point Airport — from general commercial to airport district zoning.
