Case Inlet in Pierce County has been identified as a “high interest”‘ area for where a plane missing from Diamond Point Airport may have gone down, searchers said.
The searchers on Thursday located an oil slick in waters near Home, on the Key Peninsula in Pierce County, while looking for the small 1948 Cessna 170 airplane that disappeared after leaving Diamond Point late Sunday afternoon, the state Department of Transportation Aviation Division reported.
Searchers are still investigating other possibilities and will resume their search today out of Bremerton National Airport.
