A magnitude 3.1 earthquake shook residents in Island County on Monday evening, but there were no reports of damage or injuries.
The quake, which was centered about 8 miles west of Oak Harbor, hit about 3:56 p.m. at a depth of 5.7 miles.
According to “felt reports” sent to the USGS, light shaking from the quake was felt on Whidbey Island, in Port Ludlow, Port Angeles, Friday Harbor and Lake Stevens, among other areas.
