PORT ANGELES — Storytellers from Hawaii, Brazil, Canada and the Motor City: They’re converging here for the Forest Storytelling Festival next month.
An early bird discount is available through this coming Saturday for the festival, which starts Oct. 20 and runs through Oct. 22. Its locus is the Little Theater at Peninsula College, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
Five concerts featuring multiple storytellers and a choice among six workshops are all included in the full festival pass, which is $75 for those who register — online or by regular mail — by Saturday.
Members of the Story People of Clallam County pay $65 for early bird registration.
On Sunday, Oct. 1, the full pass price rises to $85. Tickets to individual concerts and workshops range from $10 to $20.
Featured performers include Detroit-born bluesman Robert Jones, Brazilian native Antonio Rocha, Jennifer Ferris of Victoria and Alton Chung, a Japanese-American who grew up near Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
