SEQUIM — A dog heard barking down a cliff off Finn Hall Road was rescued safely on Saturday, Clallam County Fire District 3 reported.
“The owners are happy to have their dog back home safe, just in time for Christmas,” according to a press release.
The dog had been missing for four days, firefighters reported. It was trapped on a wooded cliffside that was a steep embankment with a dropoff near the shoreline.
The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office and District 3 worked together with Battalion 304 firefighters dispatched at 3:38 p.m. Saturday. Rescue 34 brought two firefighters. Four more arrived by personal vehicle and an additional firefighter arrived by ambulance between calls.
