PORT ANGELES — Paving work on Front Street downtown is expected to be completed this morning, two days ahead of schedule.
“We should be done by tomorrow [Friday] morning,” said Glenn Cutler, city public works and utilities director, on Thursday.
“We made real good progress.”
All other city paving work, including on Lauridsen Boulevard and 18th Street, also is expected to be done by today, said Teresa Pierce, city spokeswoman.
The paving work on Front Street, which has occurred during the evening and early morning hours between Lincoln and Oak streets, began Monday.
It originally was scheduled to be completed Sunday morning.
The work, which includes the addition of bike lanes, was done by Lakeside Industries.
