PORT ANGELES — Volunteer Sarah McFadden of Port Angeles bags homemade cookies and treats during a March 6 bake sale, silent auction and open house for “The Drop,” a newly-opened youth drop-in center on the second floor of the First United Methodist Church, 110 E. Seventh St., in Port Angeles.
The center, aimed at homeless youth and young adults ages 12 to 24, was designed to provide resources and services, as well as offer a place to rest and receive mentorship from youth advocates.
The Drop is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, practicing social distancing in a clean environment.
