CHIMACUM — An open house with table displays will feature the Duckabush River during a community event form 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.
The open house, sponsored by the Brinnon Group, will be at Finnriver Cidery’s tasting room, 124 Center Road in Chimacum.
The displays will show the river valley’s elk, fish and geology and provide information about salmon restoration efforts.
Information about Duckabush mushrooms and kayaking on the Hood Canal also will be available.
Through a grant from the Northwest Fund for the Environment, free Finnriver appetizers and tokens for draft cider will be available for the first 30 people who attend. The cidery also will offer dinner for purchase.
