NEAH BAY — A celebration of eagles is planned in Neah Bay on Saturday.
The Neah Bay Eagle Fest, an annual celebration of the birds of prey, is sponsored by the Neah Bay Chamber of Commerce.
Events will be held at four locations from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
— Makah Marina: Events and activities are planned all day for the Marina and grounds.
Wildlife biologist Rob McCoy Highlights include an eagle lecture with wildlife biologist Rob McCoy at 10 a.m.; a traditional clam chowder and buckskin bread meal will be available for a fee from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Walk with a Doc to an eagle nesting site with Dr. Jessica Ange at
11 a.m.; guided birdwalks with naturalist Jon Scordino will begin at
1 p.m.
A fish dinner with live Irish music will be served from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Cost of the meal is $10.
— Makah Community Hall: A bazaar and activities for youth from
9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
— Makah Museum: An eagle exhibit is available for viewing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5.
— Makah Village Market: Eagle nest watching from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a crab plate lunch with bread for $15 from noon to 1 p.m.
