An excavator picks up woody debris for loading onto a nearby truck for disposal on Tuesday at the site of the former aquaculture site near the boat ramp on Ediz Hook in Port Angeles. The Ediz Hook Shoreline Restoration project, conducted by Western Marine Construction, Inc. in conjunction with the Navy Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Northwest, is designed to return a section of shoreline on the harborside section of the hook to its former condition with the removal of an area formerly used for maintaining fish pens in Port Angeles Harbor.
