PORT ANGELES — Work crews will conduct routine, biennial inspections of the Eighth Street bridges in Port Angeles on Friday.
The Under-Bridge-Inspection-Truck will begin at the bridge over Valley Street at 9 a.m., then move west to the bridge over the Tumwater Truck Route, according to an announcement on the city’s website.
The inspections are expected to be complete by 5 p.m.
Drivers can expect alternating single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers during the inspection.
The inspections are required every two years to ensure the bridges are safe and to help prioritize maintenance and preservation work, the city said.
