SEQUIM — Two people were injured Monday when their car was struck on U.S. Highway 101 while it was pulling out of a private driveway.
A State Patrol report said Russell C. Weber, 92, and his wife, Rosalie, 91, were taken to Olympic Medical Center after the 2001 Subaru Legacy in which they were in was struck when it pulled out of the driveway about six miles west of Sequim.
The car entered the highway and was hit by a 2010 GMC Sierra pickup truck driven by Patricia A. Bekkevar, 59, which was westbound on Highway 101.
Bekkevar was uninjured in the 2:40 p.m. crash, according to a State Patrol report.
Troopers said the Webers and Bekkevar were wearing seat belts, and that neither drugs nor alcohol were involved in the collision.
It remains under investigation.
