Students at Franklin Elementary School in Port Angeles have donated 1,555 pairs of socks in conjunction with the school’s observance of Dr. Seuss week March 2-6.
Some of the socks will be used at the school nurse’s office, the remainder will be donated to the Caring for Kids clothing closet or the local homeless shelter.
Socks are one of the items most commonly requested requested by people in need.
