PORT ANGELES — The Elwha Dam webcam was back up and running Friday after the pole it was attached to fell over.
The utility pole, which was rotten, fell Thursday when workers removing other poles nearby removed a wire attached to it, said Brian Krohmer, Barnard Construction project manager.
A new pole was put in place, and the webcam was reattached at about noon Friday, he said.
Barnard Construction of Bozeman, Mont., is removing the Elwha and Glines Canyon dams on the Elwha River as part of a $325 million restoration project.
