You drive your car, fertilize your lawn, dispose of your trash.
Many daily activities go unnoticed but the impacts can be significant to the environment.
So what can you do to be a part of the solution?
Rallies on Saturday in Port Angeles and Port Townsend will focus on what you – and local and national government – can do about global warming and other environmental issues.
Port Townsend and Port Angeles will be about 1,100 cities across the United States participating in “Step It Up 2007, National Day of Climate Action,” aimed at urging the U.S. Congress to pass legislation to cut carbon emissions 80 percent by 2050.
The rallies are a jump-start on Earth Day, the annual environmental holiday which this year is Sunday, April 22.
