OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — Snowshoeing at Hurricane Ridge offers winter visitors to Olympic National Park an enjoyable way to explore the magic of snow.
Although the snowpack this year is low, snowshoeing at Hurricane Ridge is still available and can provide almost everyone with an easy winter activity.
As you walk through contorted trees, often bowing or broken from ice and snow, each step becomes an adventure.
Snowshoers are treated to sweeping views of the Olympic Mountains and, on a clear day, Vancouver Island.
They are also offered glimpses of wildlife, including the elusive snowshoe hare.
