PORT ANGELES — A shopper at any of the participating 30 Port Angeles businesses could win a $3,000 shopping spree during the 2012 Holiday Extravaganza, which continues today.
The extravaganza, which began Saturday, will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.
Each of the 30 shops featured across the city — not only in the downtown area — donated $100 to the $3,000 pot, said Edna Petersen, owner of Necessities & Temptations gift store at 217 N. Laurel St.
The winning entry will be drawn Monday morning.
Petersen and Marilyn Lamb of the Cottage Queen clothing store at 119 W. First St. and Franni Feeley of Franni’s Gift Exchange at 1215 E. Front St. organized the event this year.
Thank-you
The celebration is both a thank-you to the customers that make the city’s small businesses possible and a way to reacquaint residents with what the town has to offer, Petersen said.
Shoppers can enter their names for the raffle at any or all of the stores participating, Lamb said.
“It will increase the chances of winning if they go to as many businesses as possible,” she said.
