The Forks City Council will host a joint meeting with Clallam County commissioners at 5 p.m. Monday.

The special meeting will be in the City Council chambers at Forks City Hall, 500 E. Division St.

Agenda items include emergency management, state Department of Natural Resources performance, animal control, Climate Change Week and a 2020 Census proclamation.

The Forks City Council will conduct a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Agenda items included a treasurer’s report, Folkner annexation proceedings and a resolution to vacate an undeveloped easement.

Clallam County

Clallam County commissioners will discuss a grant application for opioid prevention activities in their weekly work session Monday.

The work session will begin at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ board room (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

Other discussion items include:

• Next steps regarding the Sequim School District’s request for a Greywolf Elementary School septic connection application extension.

• An agreement with Peninsula Behavioral Health for mental health counseling services to individuals with developmental disabilities who exhibit challenging behaviors or mental health needs.

• A call for bids for the Third Street HVAC replacement project.

• A call for bids for the jail kitchen exhaust improvement project.

• A presentation on a state Department of Ecology funding offer list.

• Authorization for the chair to execute a Bureau of Indian Affairs document.

• An agreement with the Department of Natural Resources for a county trail easement.

• An interlocal agreement with Jefferson and Kitsap counties and the state Health Care Authority for the administration of integrated managed care.

• An agreement with Peninsula Daily News for printing legal publications through June 2020.

• An update on the current legislative session.

Commissioners will conduct their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Action items include:

• A proclamation recognizing March 30 as Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day.

• Agreement with Olympic Community Action Programs to provide staffing for a warming center in Sequim during extreme weather conditions.

• An agreement with Olympic National Park to grow locally sourced native plants at the National Park Service’s Matt Albright Native Plant Center near Sequim.

• A contract amendment with the Department of Ecology for a $3,150 increase to solid waste funding.

• A contract amendment with the state Military Department extending the 2016 Operation Stonegarden grant.

• An agreement with the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe for two annual population surveys of Olympia oysters at the restoration sites in Blyn.

• An agreement with the state Department of Ecology for a water quality stormwater grant.

• A budget revision and supplemental appropriation.

• A public hearing for consideration of a debatable budget emergency.

Public Utility District

Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will consider a resolution revising the district’s residential meter policy at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

The meeting will be in the Lake Crescent Boardroom at the Carlsborg main office, located at 104 Hooker Road.

Other agenda items include:

• A resolution establishing the current schedule of deposits and charges and electric line extension unit prices.

• Acceptance of a contract completion memo for an Old Olympic Highway distribution main project.

• A resolution designating a district representative to obtain federal and/or state emergency or disaster assistance funds.

• A policy to ensure compliance with state laws for public records and public records disclosure.

Port of Port Angeles

Port of Port Angeles commissioners will consider a log stacker purchase when they meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Commissioners will meet at the Port of Port Angeles administration building, 338 W. First St.

They also will conduct a work session on a report about the Seattle Boat Show.

Sequim city

The Sequim City Council will consider awarding a $5.6 million contract for the West Fir Street rehabilitation when it meets at 6 p.m. Monday.

The council will meet at Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St.

City staff recommends the council award the West Fir Street contract to Interwest Construction, Inc., of Sequim, the low bidder at $5,636,182. The engineer’s estimate was $6.2 million.

The council also will consider a contract with Raven Engineering, Inc., for $178,700 to manage the project.

It also will hear an update on the Economic Development Corp., and consider an amendment to the contract with it, hear an update on the People’s Project.

Library system

The North Olympic Library System Board of Trustees will hear an update on an strategic road map when it meets in Forks at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

The meeting will be at the Forks Library, 171 S. Forks Ave.

Other agenda items a presentation on disruptive event management and a resolution authorizing the disposal of surplus property.
