EYE ON CLALLAM: Judgeship vacancy before county commission

The three Clallam County commissioners will discuss applicants and possibly make a decision about a filling a District Court II judge position when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

Commissioners also will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday to consider approving the annual construction program for 2021.

Commissioners will recess into an executive session at 2 p.m. Monday to discuss four applicants for the Forks judge position and may make a decision in open session afterward.

Also at the work session on Monday, they will deal with the annual construction program, a stormwater grant and an agreement with the Federal Highway Administration for Segment B of the Spruce Railroad Trail.

On Tuesday, they will consider adopting the 2021 budget.

Port Angeles city

The Port Angeles City Council will conduct public hearings on the 2021 budget and water and wastewater utility rates when it meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

A special meeting at 5 p.m. will be devoted to discussing PenCom/EOC.

Also on the regular meeting agenda is a PemCom Westside Fire Station, lodging tax advisory panel’s recommendations and an amended ordinance concerning property tax levy.

Olympic Medical Center

Olympic Medical Center commissioners will consider an at-risk compensation plan when they meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Commissioners also will hear a security, privacy and compliance update and consider a physician employment agreement, a professional services agreement for hospitalist services and an Echo machines purchase.

Fire District 3

The Clallam County Fire District 3 commissioners will consider 2020 wildland billings and listing vehicle F-30 as surplus when they meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
