The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider approving up to $334,000 in conservation futures funds for the Jefferson Land Trust’s Tarboo Forest Conservation project when they meet Monday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
The agreement will provide conservation futures funds for the acquisition of two conservation easements.
Commissioners are expected to issue a call for bids for motor graders. Bid opening would be at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 18.
They will consider approving an agreement in which the county administers a community development block grant for Olympic Community Action Programs. OlyCAP would get $96,249, and the county would receive $3,000 for grant administration.
During the 1:30 p.m. county administrator briefing, commissioners will hear about the Tarboo Slopes and Camp Discovery Creek properties in the Dabob Bay area in a presentation by Peter Bahls of the Northwest Watershed Institute.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend Council Finance and Budget Committee will discuss 2015 budget priorities when it meets Wednesday.
The committee meeting from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the third-floor conference room in City Hall, 250 Madison St., is the only city panel meeting this week.
The Port Townsend City Council will not meet this week.
The finance and budget panel also will discuss a banking services proposal and this year’s budget at midyear.
Council office hours, during which members of the public can discuss any topic with a member of the City Council, are set from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday in the mayor’s office at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
Port Townsend schools
The Port Townsend School Board will discuss health benefits for certificated and classified employees and review several policies when it meets Monday.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Gael Stuart Building. 1620 Blaine St.
The board will consider approving health benefits for certificated administrators and employees, classified administrators and staff, and unrepresented classified employees.
Among the policies it will review are those concerning library media centers and wellness.
Chimacum schools
The Chimacum School Board will consider adopting a budget for 2014-15 when it meets Wednesday.
The board will meet at 6 p.m. in the high school library, 91 West Valley Road.
It will consider a general fund extension and board assignments and will hear of training on the Open Meetings Act and assessment information.
The board also will review the superintendent search.
Jefferson Healthcare
Jefferson Healthcare hospital commissioners will hear a report about its charity care and collections policies at a meeting Wednesday.
The meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the hospital auditorium, 832 Sheridan St., Port Townsend.
