The three Jefferson County commissioners will review the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Comprehensive Plan when they meet today.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
At 10:15 a.m., Monte Reindeers, Public Works director, will update the commissioners on the plan that was last revised in 2002.
The updated plan was developed over an 18-month period and covers advance planning, grant eligibility and compliance with the Growth Management Act.
The commissioners are expected to schedule a public hearing May 11 to discuss the plan and its implementation.
At 10 a.m., commissioners will open bids for fire alarm replacement at the Jefferson County jail. The estimate for the project is $126,682.
Items on the consent agenda include:
■  The scheduling of a hearing on budget appropriations and extensions for 10 a.m. April 27 in commissioners’ chambers.
■ A $338,467 contract with Bruch & Bruch Construction Inc. for realignment of a portion of Dowans Creek Road. All but 12.5 percent of the project is funded by state and federal money.
■  A $27,500 contract between the Kitsap Public Health Distinct and Jefferson County Public Health for obesity, diabetes, heart disease and stroke prevention. The project is funded with grants.
■  A contract between Waddell Environmental of Lake Forest Park and the county public health department for $1,100 for two workshops to discuss occupational hazards faced by artists due to chemicals and fumes. The workshops are funded by a state Department of Ecology grant.
■  A $35,000 professional services agreement with Synergetic Consulting Group Inc. for database development services for water resource management.
The contract is funded by the Environmental Protection Agency and state Department of Health.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend Lodging Tax Advisory Committee will review the 2015-17 strategic plan and prioritize action when it meets Tuesday.
The panel will meet from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the third-floor conference room at City Hall, 250 Madison St.
City Manager David Timmons also will update the committee on city projects and initiatives for tourism.
The Port Townsend City Council does not meet this week.
Council office hours, during which members of the public can discuss any topic with a member of the City Council, take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in the mayor’s office at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
City committee meetings taking place in the third-floor conference room at City Hall, 250 Madison St., are:
■  Council Finance and Budget Committee — 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
■  Comprehensive Plan Economic Development Stakeholders — 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday.
Port Townsend schools
The Port Townsend School Board will hear a report about implementing state Next Generation Science Standards when it meets today.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Gael Stuart Building, 1621 Blaine St.
The board will review a policy concerning sexual harassment as well as one dealing with tobacco and nicotine products and delivery devices.
The board also will hear of a curriculum review of World History: Patterns of Interaction.
Quilcene schools
The Quilcene School Board will take action on two groups traveling to state competitions during a special meeting today.
The board will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the district boardroom at 294715 U.S. Highway 101.
The FBLA will attend state competition Wednesday through Friday in Spokane, while the Mathletes will go to a state contest Friday and Saturday in Ellensburg.
East Jefferson Fire-Rescue
The East Jefferson Fire-Rescue Joint Oversight board will hear a first-quarter budget review at a special meeting Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the district office, 24 Seton St., Port Townsend.
The commissioners plan a 2014 budget retrospective.
Public comment will be taken.
Jefferson Healthcare
Jefferson Healthcare commissioners will hear a patient satisfaction report when they meet Wednesday.
The meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the hospital auditorium, 834 Sheridan St., Port Townsend.
