EYE ON JEFFERSON: County eyes software for managing public records requests

The three Jefferson County commissioners will discuss and possibly take action on purchasing a software program in centrally managing requests of public records under the Public Records Act when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.

They also will recognize Paul Walters, maintenance superintendent for Public Works, for his service.

During the county administrator briefing session at 1:30 p.m., commissioners will hear on miscellaneous items, calendar coordination and future agenda items.

Also meeting this week is the county Planning Commission from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Tri-Area Community Center, 10 West Valley Road, Chimacum. This meeting replaces the normally scheduled Sept. 6 meeting.

Port Townsend city

The Library Advisory Board will meet from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday in the third-floor conference room at City Hall, 250 Madison St.

The Port Townsend City Council does not meet this week.

Quilcene School Board

The Quilcene School Board will gather for a special board meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The board will meet in Room 9 at 294715 U.S. Highway 101.

On tap will be a 2016-17 board self-evaluation and establishing 2017-18 board goals. There also will be an executive session regarding personnel.

Jefferson PUD

Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will receive an update concerning future PUD facility requirements and options when they meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The special meeting/workshop will be at 230 Chimacum Road, Port Hadlock.

Later that day at 2 p.m. at the same location, the PUD will receive an update on the 2018 budget in another special meeting/workshop.

PDA executive committee

The Fort Worden Public Development Authority executive committee members will discuss new initiatives when they meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

The meeting will be in the Seminar Room in Building 297 at Fort Worden, 200 Battery Way.

The panel also will hear a cash flow projection report, a staffing update and report on feasibility studies.

This meeting has been rescheduled from Aug. 15.

The public development authority board meeting, originally slated Wednesday, has been canceled.
