EYE ON JEFFERSON: County to hear COVID-19 update

The three Jefferson County commissioners will hear an update on COVID-19 from county Health Officer Dr. Tom Locke when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

Commissioners will extend the closing date for the purchase and sale agreement with Olympic Community Action Programs of a county parcel for a 44-unit affordable housing facility in Port Townsend from Sept. 1 of this year to Sept. 1, 2021.

They also will consider the process for gathering input to set priorities for community assistance allocations for Coronavirus Relief Funds and consider delegating authority to issue the funds to the county manager.

Commissioners will conduct a hearing on declaring some public works equipment surplus and consider agreeing to sell it.

Port Townsend city

The Port Townsend Council Ad Hoc Committee on Public Safety and Law Enforcement will follow up on questions from last month’s presentation and discussion when it meets at 5 p.m. Monday.

Port of Port Townsend

Port of Port Townsend commissioners will discuss the 2021 budget when they meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Chimacum School Board

The Chimacum School Board will conduct two meetings this week, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Both will be at 6 p.m.

Agendas were not available as of Saturday, but the district has announced that the Tuesday meeting will be a collaborative meeting with the Port Townsend School Distract on a superintendent search.

The Jefferson County Public Utility District board of commissioners will review the draft 2021 budget and the first volume of the Water System Plan when they meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Jefferson Healthcare commissioners will discuss a health equity report resolution when they meet at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
