EYE ON JEFFERSON: Port Townsend hearing examiner public hearings set

Two Port Townsend city hearing examiner public hearings are on the docket Friday.

The hearings will be on the second floor of historic City Hall, 540 Water St.

The first, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., will be on the Vintage Hardware Assembly Building.

The second, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., will be on the new Salish Coast Elementary School.

The Port Townsend City Council meeting for Monday has been canceled.

City offices will be closed Tuesday for the July Fourth holiday.

City committee meetings, which are in conference rooms at City Hall, 250 Madison St., are:

 Port Townsend Arts Commission — 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, second-floor conference room.

 Non-Motorized Transportation Advisory Board — 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, first-floor conference room.

 Historic Preservation Committee — The meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled.

County commissioners

Monday’s Jefferson County Board of Commissioners meeting has been canceled.

On Tuesday, the Marine Resources Committee will meet from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Northwest Maritime Center, 431 Water St., while the Gardiner Community Center Board of Directors will gather from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Gardiner Community Center, 980 Old Gardiner Road, Sequim.

The Parks Advisory Board meeting, originally set Wednesday, has been postponed to a special meeting July 12.

Jefferson PUD

Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will discuss a cost-of-service update on formation of zones when they meet at 5 p.m. Monday.

The special meeting will be at 230 Chimacum Road, Port Hadlock.

They also will hear reports on operations and fire hydrant maintenance, as well as effects of the Bonneville Power Administration rate.

The board will go into executive session before adjourning.

Jefferson Healthcare

Jefferson Healthcare commissioners will discuss and possibly take action on a resolution regarding a USDA loan and KeyBank financing when they meet at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Commissioners will meet in the Jefferson Healthcare Conference Room, Suite 302, on the third floor at 2500 W. Sims Way.

They also will discuss and possibly take action on medical staff credentials/appointments/reappointments and a resolution on surplus equipment.
