EYE ON JEFFERSON: Sanitation for non-permitted living conditions before board of health

The Jefferson County Board of Health will conduct a public hearing on the revision of the county enforcement code concerning basic sanitation for non-permitted living conditions,when they meet at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Intergovernmental

The Intergovernmental Collaborative Committee will review the draft COVID recovery and resiliency plan during a special meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The group is composed of members of four entities: Jefferson County Commission, Port Townsend City Council, the Port of Port Townsend and Jefferson County Public Utility District.

County commission

The three Jefferson County commissioners will set a hearing date for setting the ad valorem tax levies for 2021 when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

Commissioners will hear an update on COVID-19 from Dr. Tom Locke, county health officer, at 9:30 a.m., receive an update on the state Department of Natural Resources third quarter county income report at 10:45 a.m. and conduct a hearing on the county’s procurement code at 11:14 a.m.

Items on the consent agenda include scheduling a hearing on the 2020-2021 mid-biennial budget review for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7 and an amendment to an agreement with the state Recreation and Conservation office for an additional $38,941 for culvert replacement on Thorndyke Road bringing the project total to $237,254.

Port Townsend city

The Port Townsend City Council will conduct a hearing on the 2021 budget when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Quilcene schools

The Quilcene School Board will discuss the district reopening when it meets at 6 p.m. Monday.

Public Utility District

Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will consider an interlocal agreement concerning the deployment of broadband opportunities in the county when they meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

East Jefferson Fire-Rescue

East Jefferson Fire-Rescue commissioners will discuss the 2021 budget and property tax levies at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The fire commissioners also will consider vouchers for general fire expenditures, EMS expenditures, payroll expenditures and 3rd quarter volunteer stipends.

Fire District 3

Clallam County Fire District 3 commissioners will meet in executive session to review the performance of an employee at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Hood Canal Coordinating Council
