Government meetings across the North Olympic Peninsula

The boards of local government agencies will meet next week on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Clallam County

The three Clallam County commissioners will discuss the hiring process for a new county administrator in their weekly work session Monday and their weekly business meeting Tuesday.

They also will consider a request for $2,727,870 in funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service for the Dungeness off-channel reservoir project.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• A lease agreement with William H. Clevenger and John A. Gray for the property at 325½ Second St. for the new Harm Reduction Health Center.

• Opening of bids for the courthouse landscaping project.

The three Jefferson County commissioners will conduct public hearings regarding an ordinance and a resolution adopting fee schedules for Public Works, Parks and Recreation Division when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

The commissioners will hear an update briefing on the Healthier Together aquatic center feasibility study and will conduct a workshop on the regional small farms program with Kellie Henwood from the Washington State University Jefferson County Extension.

Items on the consent agenda include a resolution to vacate a portion of Gustavsen Road, an agreement with the Department of Transportation for $18,000 per year for five years for pavement marking on roads in West Jefferson County, an agreement with the Jefferson County Conservation District for $85,065 to monitor water quality, an agreement with the Department of Ecology for $200,000 for a remedial investigation and cleanup feasibility study and an agreement with the Olympic Area Agency on Aging for $49,799 for the community navigator project.
