Meetings across the North Olympic Peninsula

Draft budgets, timber reports and Project Macoma will be before boards and commissions on the North Olympic Peninsula next week.

Clallam County Commissioners

The three Clallam County commissioners will conduct a review of the county’s draft 2025 budget during their weekly work session at 9 a.m. Monday.

The commissioners’ business meeting, scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, has been canceled.

The commissioners also will review the quarterly timber income report during a joint special meeting with the state Department of Natural Resources at 1 p.m. Monday.

• An agreement with Sourcewell to provide access to Sourcewell’s Cooperative Purchasing Program.

• Amended agreements with Clallam County Public Works for 2022 and 2023 Lodging Tax funding for Olympic Discovery Trail projects.

• An agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation for a $16.13 million RAISE grant for the Puget Sound to Pacific multi-use trail project.

• A resolution establishing growth and housing allocations for Clallam County and the incorporated city jurisdictions therein, required as part of the periodic update of the comprehensive plan.

• A call for a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 10 regarding proposed ordinances amending the fee schedules for the planning division and the building division.

• Discussion regarding Clallam County’s priorities for the upcoming full state legislative session.

• An amended agreement with Western Olympic Peninsula Betterment Association “Feeding 5000” for an additional $20,000, for a total of $38,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funds, to provide hot meals to 120-150 people per week.
