The closing of the Clallam County Humane Society’s Bark House, and fire level danger and burn restrictions will be before Peninsula boards and commissions this week.

Clallam County Commissioners

The three Clallam County commissioners will discuss the animal rescue crisis during their weekly work session on Monday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m., will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which will start at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• A public hearing regarding regarding the mid-year budget review.

• A call for a public hearing regarding renewal of the Lake Sutherland Management District #2 at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 13.

• An agreement with the state Military Department for $45,560 in pass-through funding for the PenCom dispatch center operated by the city of Port Angeles.

• An agreement with the state Military Department for $97,500 for continued support of Operation Stonegarden.

• An agreement with the state Department of Commerce for $150,000 for continued operation of the Olympic Peninsula Narcotic Enforcement Team.

• An agreement with the state Department of Commerce for $627,924 to address homelessness; $251,953 is earmarked for local document recording fee support.

• An agreement with Serenity House for $375,971 in consolidated homelessness grant funding.

• Approval of the new insignia for the Coroner’s Office.

• Renewal of an interlocal agreement with San Juan County to provide detention and hold services for juvenile offenders.

• A local agency agreement with the state Department of Transportation for a highway resurfacing project on Old Olympic Highway between Spring/Matson roads and Barr/Gunn roads.

• A request for bids for the Airport Road repaving project; bids must be received by 10 a.m. Aug. 13.

• Approval of a 12-month extension of land division LDV2019-00016.

• Agreements with Zacharia and Willow Peppers for $40,128 and with Dorothy McCoy for $4,024 for easements on Bear Creek Road.

• A request for proposals for a qualified consultant to update the county’s five-year homelessness crisis response and housing plan. Proposals must be received by 3 p.m. Aug. 19.

• Authorization for the board chair to sign the Kroger opioid settlement agreement.

• A call for a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. July 30 regarding debatable budget emergencies as well as resolutions adopting various budget reductions, revisions and supplemental appropriations.

• Opening of proposals for hearing examiner services.

• Agreements with the state Health Care Authority for up to $4,250,000 to establish Medicaid accounting and billing systems for the county jail and the juvenile detention facility.

Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will discuss the Bonneville Power Administration’s response to the district’s letter regarding the Port Angeles-Sappho 115 kV transmission line when they meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
