Government meetings across the North Olympic Peninsula

The boards of local government agencies will meet next week on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Clallam County

The three Clallam County commissioners will discuss a resolution to form a Timber Revenue Advisory Committee during their weekly work session Monday.

The commissioners’ work session at 9 a.m. Monday will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The commissioners also will meet in executive session with the prosecuting attorney’s office to discuss litigation or possible litigation; there will not be an online attendance option.

Agenda items include:

• An agreement with Port Angeles Healthy Youth Coalition to implement a nurse-family partnership with Jefferson County Public Health.

• An agreement with the state Military Department for a $42,094 emergency management preparedness grant.

• A purchase order for the second year of the a two-year service agreement for CrowdStrike and Falcon network and computing endpoint monitoring.

• Agreements with six agencies for $307,462 in developmental disabilities funding including $88,782 for First Step Family Support Center, $38,175 for Morningside, $44,647 for Pierce Jones and Associates LLC and three agreements with Concerned Citizens totalling $135,858.

• A resolution to create a Recompete Grant department within the general fund to account for grant-funded projects.

• An update on the commissioners’ legislative priorities.

• A discussion regarding a request for proposal for hearing examiner services from Alexander Sidles of Sidles Law.

• A performance report on code enforcement from Bruce Emery.

• A call for a public hearing on Tuesday, Feb. 13, regarding a proposed ordinance to require a placement permit for recreation park trailers, also known as park models.

• A call for bids for a county roads project to repave Carlsborg Road from mile post 1.01 to mile post 1.76; bids must be received by 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20.

• An agreement with Clallam Public Utility District #1 to reimburse the county $170,047 to remove certain water mains within the county right of way in conjunction with the Sekiu sewer project.

• An agreement with the state Recreation Conservation Office for a $90,255 to purchase mowing equipment and replace a roof at Salt Creek Recreation Area.

• A listing of 2023 tax refunds required by RCW 84.69.020, and the 2024 refund levy.

• A resolution to cancel $238.10 in noncollectable property taxes from the closed business European Autoworks, LLC.

• An update to the bylaws for the Parks Advisory Board.

• A call for a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, regarding proposed changes to the fairgrounds fee schedule.

The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider the county’s forest allocations to the Department of Natural Resources’ Natural Climate Solutions proviso when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.
