PORT ANGELES — A Clallam County family has been displaced due a house fire. No injuries were reported.
Just before noon on Saturday, Clallam County Fire District 2 was dispatched to a single-family residence on Glass Road whose roof was on fire, according to a press release.
When crews arrived, they determined the exterior was on fire, with flames that extended into the attic. Crews worked to contain the fire through the gable end of the roof.
Once additional crew members arrived, the attack transitioned to the interior.
The fire was knocked down within 15 to 20 minutes of the first arriving crew, according to a press release. Individuals remained on scene for another 1 1/2 hours to overhaul the fire.
Once the fire was confirmed out, the structure was turned back to the homeowners.
Both the Port Angeles Fire Department and Clallam County Fire District 3 provided support.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
