PORT ANGELES – Mari Tacardon, her son and mother will have a place to stay through Christmas.
The North Olympic Peninsula Red Cross extended Mari Tacardon and her family’s stay at a motel after their house caught fire Friday.
Originally the organization said it would pay for the room through Monday – Christmas Eve – but agreed to let the family stay through Wednesday as they look for permanent shelter.
Tacardon said she wasn’t sure where she, her mother Lauren Mattson and her son, Daniel Wake, will go after Wednesday.
