Farmers market, transit relocated during Crabfest

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Farmers Market and some Clallam Transit System routes will relocate this weekend due to Dungeness Crab Festival events at the Gateway Transit Center.

The market will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Pebble Beach Park, located along the water near Field Arts & Events Hall. It will return to its location at Gateway Transit Center on Oct. 19.

Clallam Transit buses will use a temporary transfer location at Fourth Street between Lincoln and Peabody streets Friday through Sunday. The scheduled times for pickup and drop-off are the same as they would be for the transit center.

Buses will not be serving the stops on Lincoln Street in front of Safeway, so passengers will need to walk to Fourth Street.

The Strait Shot also will pick up and drop off passengers on at the Fourth Street location during the festival. It will depart from Fourth Street at the regularly scheduled times and then pick up passengers on Front Street in front of Gateway Transit Center a few minutes later.

Portable toilets will be available to transit customers on Fourth Street during the rerouting. Buses will return to their regular schedule from Gateway Transit Center on Monday.
