PORT TOWNSEND — The basics of naturally fermenting vegetables at a local farm is the topic of tonight’s online First Friday Speaker Series lecture.
The program, part of “The Art of Making” series hosted by the Jefferson County Historical Society, features Hanako Myers and Marko Colby of Midori Farm, an organic operation in Quilcene.
In this 7 p.m. program, the farmers will demonstrate the fundamentals of making sauerkraut and kimchi, and discuss how Midori products go from the vegetable fields to the wholesale market.
There’s no charge to join the one-hour event, while the suggested donation is $10.
