Traffic could be delayed up to two hours on several Port Angeles streets this week as the final phase of the city’s chipsealing project is completed.
The final “fog sealing” portion of the chipsealing project will begin Wednesday and last through Friday, weather permitting.
The areas to be sealed are bounded by:
* Third and Seventh streets from Lincoln to Cherry streets
* Hill Street and Fourth Street
* Streets between First and Front streets from Penn Street to Vine Street
Parking will not be allowed on streets in these areas from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.
Vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Because of the nature of the material being applied, it will be necessary to keep traffic off the streets for the fog seal to cure.
A pre-recorded telephone message with information on the program will be updated each evening.
Interested residents can call 360-565-3899.
