They are:

• Todd Muilenberg, a lieutenant with the Scottsdale (Ariz.) Police Department and officer there since 1990.
• Julius “Phil” Schrenck, who has family in Sequim, is deputy police chief in Sunnyside in central Washington for about 10 years.
The public will get a chance to meet the candidates at an information reception Thursday from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers at 190 W. Cedar St.
They will be interviewed Friday and the list will be narrowed to one or two finalists for further background investigations, Burkett said.
