SEQUIM — A Sequim-area man suffered minor injuries in a car fire this week, Clallam County Fire District 3 Capt. Derrell Sharp said.
The Wednesday evening fire was in the Wal-Mart parking lot at 1284 W. Washington St.
Lucas Woolsey was trying to get his belongings out of the back seat of his white 1991 Buick Century when firefighters arrived at 5:53 p.m., Sharp said.
Two engines and a medical unit were dispatched. Woolsey was treated for his injuries at the scene, and crews had the fire put out by 6:30 p.m., Sharp said
The fire was confined to the Buick, which was completely destroyed, he said.
The fire captain said that firefighters continued to investigate the cause Thursday.
