PORT ANGELES — Firefighters are mopping up a smoky fire in the Park Paint building at 201 E. Front St.
Fire broke out in the paint mixing area on the first floor of the northwest corner of the building, which is at the corner of Front and Lincoln streets.
Firefighters were still at the scene. Front Street — U.S. Highway 101 west — was detoured around the scene. Route 101, which turns south on Lincoln from Front, was reopened about 6:30 p.m., but no traffic is allowed on Lincoln Street north of Front.
