MARROWSTONE ISLAND — East Jefferson Fire Rescue extinguished an RV fire in the 600 block of Robbins Road on Marrowstone Island.
No injuries were reported.
The resident told 9-1-1 dispatchers about 1:51 a.m. Monday that she was awake and began smelling something burning, the fire district stated in a press release.
She got up to find smoke pouring in from the door at the rear of the RV, left the vehicle and found items outside also were burning, the fire district said.
Crews extinguished the fire by 2:34 a.m. without involving any neighboring structures, the fire district said.
Responding crews included a battalion chief, two engines, a paramedic, three tenders and Air 4, along with an engine from Naval Region Northwest on Indian Island, the fire district said.
The appeared to be a total loss and the cause, the fire district said. The cause an origin were being investigated by the Jefferson County Fire Marshal’s Office.
